A lot of interactions on the field and off it regarding compositions and post-processing will help you to up your photography skills many notches.
Herds of wildebeest dot the horizon – as far as the eye can see. Predators of the night roam the plains in broad daylight, in the lure of an easy meal. 1.3 million ungulates strip the grasslands bare as they zip across international borders in the race of life and death. Welcome to the great wildebeest migration. Known as the most amazing wildlife spectacle on planet earth, this natural event is a feast for the eyes and your cameras. Nowhere else in the world can you expect such a huge concentration of wildlife, where predators, prey and scavengers share space and probably even photo frames.
This comprehensive 2-park African safari focuses on photography. We take every effort to make this a great learning experience. We wish that you will take back some great memories and relive this experience many times over for a long time. Our visits to the greatest lakes and the vast and endless savannah will let you experience the most magnificent beasts of Africa in their natural habitat. And that is what the tour of Kenya truly will be. We promise that you’ll experience mesmerizing sunrise and sunsets over the grasslands.
The first part of our tour is a trip to Lake Nakuru which attracts a sizeable population of African cape buffalos, flamingoes, and Goliath herons. Our main focus here would be to catch and make some interesting images of Giraffe, Lions and Black Rhino. Then we head to Masai Mara world famous grasslands where you will get to see, feel and experience the big five (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard & cape buffalo) in their natural habitat.
Day 1-2 – Aug 10th (Sat) – Aug 11th (Sun)
Participants arrive at Nairobi on 10th August 2019 (Sat) not later than 6 am.

Post the boat ride, we will complete our breakfast in Naivasha. We will head to Lake Nakuru to reach for our lunch.
After check-in at Lake Nakuru, your tour leader will explain in detail the species of the target to be photographed in this location and help you get the required shots. We will head out for evening game drive looking for Reticulated Giraffe, Lions and if lucky Black Rhino.
We will head out for our second game drive at Lake Nakuru and return for breakfast by 9 am. Post breakfast, we will check out and we set off for the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve, driving past extinct volcanoes on the boundaries of Rift Valley. En route we have lunch at Narok and as we enter the reserve, we will start our game drive and slowly reach our camp which will be our base for our next 6 nights. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at the camp in Masai Mara.
Day 3-7 – Aug 12th (Mon) – Aug 16th (Fri)
This could most possibly be the most satisfying part of the tour. We will be making a number of trips through the great African savanna and the sheer density of wildlife will never seize to amaze. Gazelles, wildebeests, and zebras graze in large numbers. Supported by the Mara River and its tributary the Talek, the park here encompasses 1510 sq kilometers of open grassland tucked away in the southwestern corner of the country. At Mara it is pretty common to find lions, Cheetahs and leopards lazing around or if we are lucky, we might get to experience the predators hunting for food. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos also exist in large numbers, giving us an opportunity make photographs of them and also capture the wildlife images in their most natural habitat while experimenting with a variety of lenses, styles, and backdrops. We can also arrange a visit to a local Maasai Village if you like(at an extra cost). Overnight at luxurious camp in Mara.
Day 8 – Aug 17th (Sat)
One final sunrise at Mara, we will head out for a final game drive (2 hours). We will come back to the camp for breakfast. Post a lip-smacking breakfast we head back to Nairobi. We can relax and discuss the overall experience of the tour and about wildlife photography before we reach the airport by evening.
