We had an unexpected encounter with the saw-scaled viper under the rocks where our tour leader was just about to take a brief pit stop. His quick presence of mind to check the rock gave other participants an opportunity to see the snake and make some good images out of it.

Kaas – the plateau of flowers, a beautiful tableland in Sahyadris turns magical during the September to October giving a short window of time for biologists and photographers. It’s a magical piece of land and is one of the global biodiversity hotspots. Kaas puts up a show during this time of the year with millions if not billions of shades of flowers. These flowers spread across the horizon and turn the scene dramatic with the play of lights amidst the clouds against the blue sky. This breathtaking event is what we want you to witness.
